Who is Therapy Roots?

Therapy Roots LLC is a mental health practice collective servicing the state of Florida. We are located in Longwood, Florida and offer the flexibility of both in office and telehealth appointments.

Our practice is built on the strength of collaboration. As a collective of independent clinicians, we combine our expertise to provide comprehensive mental health services tailored to the unique needs of our community. By working together, we are able to offer a broad range of therapeutic approaches, specialties, and perspectives while maintaining the warmth and personal connection that defines private practice care.

  • Individual therapy provides one-on-one support in a confidential setting to help clients address emotional, behavioral, and mental health concerns. Services focus on developing coping skills, improving emotional regulation, processing life experiences, and working toward personal goals that enhance daily functioning and overall well-being.

  • Couples therapy provides a supportive, structured environment for partners to improve communication, strengthen their relationship, and address areas of conflict or disconnection. Services focus on enhancing understanding, rebuilding trust, developing healthy problem-solving skills, and fostering emotional connection.

  • Family therapy provides a collaborative and supportive setting for family members to improve communication, strengthen relationships, and address patterns that may be contributing to conflict or stress within the family system. Services focus on enhancing understanding, building problem-solving skills, supporting healthy boundaries, and promoting positive family functioning.

  • Child and adolescent therapy provides developmentally appropriate support to help young people navigate emotional, behavioral, social, and academic challenges. Services focus on building coping skills, improving emotional regulation, strengthening problem-solving abilities, and supporting healthy relationships at home and school. Therapy is tailored to the child or teen’s individual needs and may include collaboration with caregivers to promote positive development, resilience, and overall well-being.

  • Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) is an evidence-based treatment that helps individuals identify and change unhelpful thought patterns and behaviors that contribute to emotional distress. CBT focuses on developing practical coping skills, improving problem-solving abilities, and building healthier ways of thinking and responding to challenges. Services are goal-oriented, structured, and tailored to each individual’s needs to support improved mood, behavior, and overall daily functioning.

  • Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) is an evidence-based treatment that helps individuals develop practical skills to manage intense emotions, reduce impulsive behaviors, and improve relationships. DBT focuses on four key areas: mindfulness, distress tolerance, emotion regulation, and interpersonal effectiveness. Services aim to help clients build coping strategies, increase self-awareness, and respond to challenges in healthier, more balanced ways. Treatment is structured, goal-oriented, and tailored to each individual’s needs to support emotional stability and improved daily functioning.

  • Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) therapy is an evidence-based treatment designed to help individuals process and heal from distressing or traumatic experiences. EMDR uses structured techniques, including bilateral stimulation, to help the brain reprocess memories so they become less emotionally overwhelming.

  • Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP) is an evidence-based treatment designed to help individuals reduce anxiety and break the cycle of avoidance and compulsive behaviors. ERP involves gradually facing feared situations or thoughts in a safe, structured way while learning to resist engaging in unhelpful responses. Services focus on building tolerance for discomfort, strengthening coping skills, and increasing confidence in managing anxiety. Treatment is individualized, goal-oriented, and aimed at improving daily functioning and long-term symptom management.

  • Personalized 1:1 therapeutic yoga sessions. These sessions are thoughtfully designed to support your physical, emotional, and spiritual well-being. Each session can incorporate flowing yoga sequences, intentional shape exploration, breath work, and meditation - tailored to you and your unique journey.
